Without proper end-point protection, participants’ computers are open to being infected by malware, and uploaded papers could be infected. This is why we have developed a malware scanning service for WISEflow.

In August of 2022 UNIwise celebrated its 10-year anniversary at our head office in Aarhus, Denmark. Some of our colleagues have been here since the very beginning, so we sat down with some of them and asked them about their experiences at the company over the last decade!

On 13 and 14 September, UNIwise held the second-ever WISEcon at the Science and Industry Museum, Manchester, bringing together people who are passionate about learning technology across all levels of HE and from across Europe. The event was a great success, and it was really good to be able to meet our colleagues and customers in person after so long.

On 15 August 2022, UNIwise celebrated its tenth birthday. From starting as a cross-university project out of Aarhus University funded by the Danish Government Foundation for Welfare Technology to operating across Europe and providing a digital assessment platform for students across the globe, we reflected on the decade that was.

UNIwise is happy to announce that Aarhus University (AU) will be doing a full rollout of WISEflow from Autumn 2023. Currently, WISEflow is being used at Aarhus School of Business and Social Sciences and Faculty of Health but as of late next year, it will be used at all five faculties.

UNIwise was invited to attend the German Bundesdekanekonferenz, which took place in June of this year. The common understanding of institutions in attendance was that the pandemic has accelerated the German education sector’s move towards a digital society.

On 8 June UNIwise had the pleasure of attending a workshop, at the JISC offices in central London, that speculated on future scenarios of assessment.

The digitisation of German society, industry and education has been an ongoing discussion, with the pandemic highlighting areas for development, such as digital public services. During the crisis, funding of 100 million euros was provided for the rapid development of infrastructure and the expansion of digital education. However, there is also a wariness of digital economies.

Imperial College Business School ran a pilot project in 2016 and expanded to 70+ exams with 1600 students in 2020. What follows is an account of the WISEflow project at ICBS by Emma Stoakes, Exams and Assessment Manager & Digital Assessment Project Lead (Business School).
