UNIwise announces Chromebook support for locked down flow types

UNIwise is happy to announce that from 25 October, WISEflow’s lockdown browser will be available on all Chromebooks through a free extension.

By adding the extension to your browser through the Chrome OS, the lockdown browser can be launched from within WISEflow, ensuring the integrity of Chromebook assessments.

It is important to note that this can apply to all Chromebooks, not just those that are unmanaged by institutions. The extension will work straight out of the box, which is particularly meaningful given that there are a high number of WISEflow users that sit their assessments on Chromebooks – with even more using these devices across the European HE space en masse.

The Chromebook extension will be beneficial for both participants and institutions. Participants will find it significantly easier to sit their exams, able to access the lockdown browser on their devices within a few clicks. For institutions, the locked down route will now be an easier one, as there will be significantly less participants bringing unsupported devices to sit assessments.

The extension will be made available from 25 October to all WISEflow users that have the FLOWlock or FLOWmulti exam formats, or if you have already been using the lockdown browser at your institution.

If you’re interested in learning more about WISEflow, whether it be further details on the Chromebook extension or the many other ways that the platform can benefit your institution, get in touch with us at hello@uniwise.eu
