This time of year, as we are approaching one of the busiest yearly periods at UNIwise – the peak of the Spring exam season – we review how things have been going at the company and see what the WISEflow numbers are telling us.

Over the last couple of years, we have experienced a great interest in WISEflow and in transitioning to digital exams and assessment from universities across Europe, but the Spring of 2020 was globally, thus also for UNIwise, unprecedented times. The global Covid-19 Pandemic has universities thinking hard about how they can keep their institutions running until the pandemic is defeated, with the combination of facility closures and social distancing stimulating a collective onset for digitalisation in the education and learning sector. While universities usually strategize and make long-term decisions regarding their exam and assessment practice, these extraordinary circumstances have accelerated the urgency of going digital, which reflect that we have been extraordinarily busy since the beginning of March supporting existing and new customers as they scale up, quickly.

Numbers tell a great story and here are a few to consider:

In April UNIwise reached a noteworthy milestone as the number of institution licenses for WISEflow surpassed 100

There has been a 41 % increase in activity on WISEflow during the first two weeks of May 2020 compared to the first two weeks of May 2019.

We have during this Spring extended our customer portfolio to cover 14 different countries

By now 16.000 students have already been participating in exams with facial recognition or our new automated proctoring feature.

Despite these numbers, we have been able to flex, respond and manage such scale with no adverse impact on the students. We continue to run fast at UNIwise ensuring timely and experiences service for existing and new clients alike. WISEflow is a proven, robust and fully scalable solution, and our development team work incredibly hard to ensure that everything runs smoothly no matter how many people are using WISEflow at the same time.

If you want to learn more about WISEflow and our work with your peers across Europe, then reach out to us here. We are ready to help support your success as you gear up to engage in the digital future of higher education.
