Bucerius Law School transitions to fully digital exams

Bucerius Law School began piloting WISEflow back in 2016, and after a successful trial period they moved to permanently adopt the platform in specific departments across the institution. However, as long as the legal state exams in Germany adhered to the traditional handwritten format, Bucerius could not make the full switch to WISEflow on an institution-wide level.

This remained the case, until a crucial decision was made last year: state exams in Hamburg could now be taken digitally. Bucerius saw this as a green light, and began the transition to fully digital exams.

Kasia Kwietniewska, Head of the Examination Office and International Office at Bucerius, commented:

Bucerius Law School represent a very meaningful WISEflow success story. The institution had been using the platform for eight years before making a full transition, and in that time they became known as pioneers in the sector when it came to digital assessment. From enhancing feedback capabilities, implementing flipped classroom approaches and even incorporating ChatGPT into teaching practices in some cases, Bucerius has never been afraid to innovate.

We are thrilled that the institution has now been able to fully transition to digital exams across the university, and look forward to a successful future working with the institution!
